Fort McClary State Historic Site, Kittery, ME

We’ve been to the fort part of the Fort McClary Historic Site before, but it also has a picnic area, on the other side of Route 103, which we happened to be driving down when we caught sight of the pond full of water lilies.    BF had started pulling over before I could even ask.    We had a great wander around the pond, and in the wooded area closer to the picnic tables – it was a great wildflower walk (I’ll have even more pictures over on my other blog).
